The Role

Overview

Design, implement, and maintain reliable Azure SaaS systems with automation & monitoring.

Tasks

-Automating provisioning, deployment, and scaling using Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform) -Supporting capacity planning, auto-scaling, and performance optimisation of SaaS applications -Implementing smart alerting and incident response processes to ensure quick, effective resolution -Ensuring systems meet security and compliance requirements (ISO27001, SOC 2, GDPR) -Designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available, fault tolerant systems in Azure -Driving continuous service improvement to achieve operational excellence -Leading root-cause analysis and continuous improvement following incidents -Monitoring system health and performance, proactively addressing issues before they impact customers -Collaborating with DevOps teams to optimise CI/CD pipelines for reliability and efficiency

MCS Group is delighted to announce a new opportunity for a skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join a growing international organisation as they seek to expand their cloud infrastructure team. This is pure SRE work so suits professionals with strong Azure cloud experience who are strong on systems reliability, monitoring, alerting and automation! -Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog -Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline -Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, storage, monitoring) -Solid understanding of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) -Experience with incident and problem management tools (PagerDuty, ServiceNow) -Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform, ARM templates) -Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (or similar role) within a SaaS or cloud-based environment -Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset -Full right to work in Ireland (Stamp 4/EU Citizenship).
