Tasks

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Director will lead the strategic and operational delivery of the Doors and Passive Fire Protection divisions. This role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional client experiences from initial onboarding through to project completion, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing service delivery, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and industry standards. They will also foster strong client relationships and collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver outstanding results. -Lead multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring optimal delivery by cross-functional teams including internal business divisions, subcontractors, and partners. -Oversee end-to-end client service delivery across both divisions. -Ensure high standards of workmanship and quality control. -Implement and manage operational systems and procedures to drive efficiency. -Work alongside the Commercial Director to deliver projects within agreed profit margins and business objectives. -Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business. -Oversight of supply chain to ensure smooth operation and efficiency, positively impacting on profitability and customer satisfaction -Act as direct line manager for PFP Managers and FD Managers, Health & Safety Manager and Logistics Manager -Take overall responsibility for Health & Safety across all operational activities. -Plan and forecast contract and project management resources to maintain balanced workloads. -Monitor service delivery and identify areas for improvement. -Lead performance reviews and foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous development. -Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and promote a safety-first culture. -Identify and develop new business opportunities with existing and potential clients to drive revenue growth and market expansion

What You Bring

Expected to study for ASFP Level 3. -Experience in Contract Management developing, negotiating and reviewing contracts with familiarity of JCT and other building industry contracts -Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business Management, or a related field (ILM qualifications desirable Level 7). -Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. -Strong leadership, organizational, and project management capabilities. -Demonstrable success in leading teams within fast-paced, service-driven construction environments, -Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and efficiency. -High attention to detail and commitment to quality. -Minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior management roles within the Construction industry, ideally with previous Director-level experience.
