Chemist/Data Validator - Environmental Analytical Chemistry

Tasks

-Validate analytical data in accordance with published guidelines (DoD, NFG, Regional EPA) -Coordinate with Project/Senior Chemists on a regular basis. -Assist with laboratory solicitation, evaluation, selection, and coordination tasks. -Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with minimal supervision. -Liase with laboratories and field teams before and during sampling events. -Assist with preparation of Quality Assurance Project Plans under supervision of Senior Chemists

What You Bring

-Familiarity with automated data review systems such as EDMS, FUDSChem, or EPA EXES -3+ years working in an environmental analytical laboratory and/or performing data validation. -Familiarity with Department of Defense Data Validation Guidelines and Modules -Familiarity with EPA National Functional Guidelines for Data Review -Experience with operation and use of analytical laboratory equipment (e.g., ICP, ICP-MS, HPLC, GC, and/or GC/MS) -BA/BS in Chemistry or related scientific field of study -BA/BS + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -Familiarity with Earth Soft's EQuIS database program -Familiarity with Department of Defense Quality Systems Manual for Environmental Laboratories Version 6.0
