Tasks

-Produce high-quality maps, visualisations, and reports to support project planning and delivery -Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards -Collaborate with engineering, environmental, and construction teams to integrate GIS into workflows -Manage GIS software, tools, and licenses, ensuring optimal performance and user access -Develop, implement, and maintain GIS databases and mapping systems -Provide GIS support for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), planning applications, and site assessments -Liaise with external stakeholders, including local authorities and contractors, to share and validate data -Maintain documentation and metadata for all GIS datasets and processes -Collect, process, and analyse spatial and non-spatial data from various sources -Train and support staff in the use of GIS tools and data interpretation

What You Bring

-Excellent communication and collaboration skills -Knowledge of remote sensing, GPS data collection, and mobile GIS applications -Experience in the construction or infrastructure sector -Experience with spatial data analysis, cartography, and database management -Degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field -Understanding of UK planning and environmental regulations -Strong understanding of coordinate systems, geospatial data formats, and data quality standards -Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines -Familiarity with CAD software and integration with GIS -Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS)
