Tasks

-Interface with Piping Field Engineer. -Responsible for the implementation of corporate/project policies, procedures and instructions within assigned operations. -Supervise and direct Direct Hire personnel and craft in construction activities within assigned discipline. -Perform personnel evaluations of subordinate personnel. -The Lead Piping Superintendent is responsible for the A/G and U/G piping, pipe supports, hanger and welding operations. This includes, but is not limited to the following: Coordinate with Direct Hire/Subcontractor Piping Superintendents, General Foreman and Foreman to determine manpower requirements. -Schedule work to be performed and review work accomplished. -Support Direct Hire/Subcontract preparation of schedules and assist management of quantity tracking. -Coordinate activities with other disciplines and clients’ resident representative as instructed by construction management. -Ensure that all safety codes, requirements, and standards are being complied within assigned area of responsibility. -Prepare reports and forecasts, job manpower forecasts and expenditures forecast. -Prepare material requisitions for tools and consumables. -Ensure current revision documents are utilized for installation.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities. Knowledge of initial site mobilization activities. -Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience. -Understanding of applicable work processes including Standard Work Process Procedures. Advanced knowledge of Project Standard Applications (BSAPs) including Setroute, Unifier, Aconex, DSCS, PTR, Agile, Navisworks, and other automation tools which are used on projects. Experience managing technical services subcontracts. -Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.). -Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards. -Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience in a supervisory role commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken. -Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). -Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing, or power generating station construction. -Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces. -Knowledge of planning and scheduling development. -Experience developing pneumatic and hydrotest packages in addition to verifying and witnessing acceptance of tests. -Demonstrated ability to problem-solve in high pressure situations. -Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead team members effectively & positively in a collaborative team environment.
