Overview
Conduct on‑site testing of concrete, soil, and asphalt, reporting results and maintaining equipment.

Tasks
-Operate testing equipment: ensure that all test equipment used is functioning properly and maintained as required by the company and/or manufacturer's policy and that all calibrated equipment is within its calibration cycle -Return samples to the office for testing -Turn in required paperwork daily -Report data in an accurate, complete, timely, and understandable fashion by applicable testing procedures -Communicate with dispatching and/or field supervisor, advising of current job status and locations as required; cellular phones are to be worn at all times, and calls are to be returned immediately -Follows safety procedures -Drive to job sites and conduct testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials -Ensure that project testing requirements are met and compliant with project specifications, requirements, and company policies or procedures -Operate a motor vehicle; maintain company vehicle (schedule oil changes, check fluid levels, inside/outside upkeep) -Prepare testing reports using Field Data Collection (FDC) software; ability to write and retrieve emails using Microsoft Outlook -Complete daily time and labor reports according to company policy -Ensure that all testing equipment used is functioning properly, maintained as required by company and/or manufacturer's policy, and that all calibrated equipment is within its calibration cycle

What You Bring
-Moderate to loud noise levels, common in active construction and industrial environments. -ACI Level I Certification -Ability to stand, walk, drive, and operate equipment for extended periods. -Ability to pass a background check screening in accordance with Florida’s Jessica Lunsford Act (or equivalent state classification) -Ability to lift and/or carry 35 to 75 lbs. up to 75 feet, involving regular repetitive motion. -Must be willing to travel within the state of Florida, if applicable -Ability to speak and hear effectively to communicate in noisy environments and with project teams. -Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form -Must be flexible to changing schedules and hours to support business needs; overnight and weekend schedules may be necessary to support business needs -Earthworks Construction Inspection Certification - Level I and II -Mathematical skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals -Exposure to environmental elements including dirt, dust, sun, heat, humidity, and adverse weather conditions. -Ability to read and write, including interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as writing routine reports and correspondence and speaking effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clients -Frequent use of hands and arms for typing, handling tools, and operating equipment. -Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record (in accordance with our Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record Check Criteria), may or may not be required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role -Ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop, pull, kneel, climb, balance, lift, carry, and push as required for fieldwork and inspections. -Computer skills sufficient to operate a laptop, including sending and receiving emails, and the ability to learn Field Data Collection (FDC)/Inspector Gadget to input data and prepare reports -Ability to use your senses to see (including close, distant, and peripheral vison, depth vision, and ability to focus) smell, hear, touch (use hands to reach climb or balance, crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit). -CTQP Level I Certification
