Tasks

-- Review and analyze project plans, proposals, blueprints, and specifications to determine full project scope and requirements. -- Coordinate subcontractor quotes, ensuring completeness, competitiveness, and alignment with project goals. -- Perform on-site inspections to verify existing conditions and define scope and cost factors. -- Develop and write clear scopes of work for subcontractors across multiple trades. -- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to clarify project details and expectations. -- Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for painting, roofing, and general construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment. -- Stay up-to-date on industry pricing trends, products, and construction techniques. -- Prepare professional bid proposals and ensure accuracy before submission.

What You Bring

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. This hybrid role is responsible for accurately estimating the cost of roofing, painting, and general construction, ensuring alignment with company objectives and standards. - Travel: Occasional travel to project sites within the Chicagoland area. - Hybrid role: Office presence required approximately twice per week. -- Professionalism: Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage workload independently in a hybrid work environment. -- Experience: 6–8 years of construction estimating experience, with strong expertise in roofing and/or painting estimation. -- Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. -- Software Proficiency: Microsoft Word, Excel, and familiarity with Eagleview, Hover, Xactimate, or similar tools. Experience with ERP or CRM systems (e.g., Acumatica) preferred. -- Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. -- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction systems, materials, and trade-specific processes.
