The Role
Overview
Operate various machine tools to salvage and manufacture parts for remanufacturing.

Tasks
-Maintain and clean equipment as required -Maintain Caterpillar contamination control initiatives -Perform salvage techniques on various machines such as; Horizontal Lathes, Radial Arm Drills, Small or Large Milling Machines, and operation of CNC Equipment (Lathes and Mills)

What You Bring
-Portable Line Boring experience is preferred -Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds -Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner and comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures -Experience/proficiency with CNC Mills and Lathes (reading and writing CNC programs) is preferred -A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator -Multiple years’ working experience and competency in a crank, block salvage or machine shop -Must be able to understand salvage specifications and related technical documentation, including technical drawings -Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively -Applicants must apply with either an updated Professional Profile on Workday or attached resume to be considered -Experience operating horizontal and vertical Lathes, Radial Arm Drills, Milling Machines, Surface Grinders, and Plate Sanding is preferred -Must have accurate documentation and measuring skills -Machinist Journeyperson ticket, or interprovincial Red Seal, is required -Will require successful completion of drug and alcohol testing, a criminal background check, and a medical assessment
