Prepare and submit HVAC mechanical estimates, manage resources, and support installations.

Tasks

-Construct material takeoff for HVAC systems -Construct material takeoff -Communicate and coordinate with technicians to create proposals as necessary -Provide technical support to technicians -Communicate the estimation data for review -Design and/or identify resources required for complete installation, retrofit and repair assignments based on expectations of the job -Work directly with outside vendors and subcontractors to compile equipment and subcontract costs -Coordinate with the team to meet bid deadlines -Prepare a complete mechanical bid that includes material, labor and other applicable costs -Coordinate with purchasing to compile material costs -Review engineered mechanical plans and specifications – HVAC and sheet metal

What You Bring

-Ability to perform site surveys and equipment evaluations to create proposals for owner direct replacement, redesign and/or retrofit projects -Strong attention to detail -Ability to go to job sites and evaluate work progress and needs. Especially critical for determining ability to meet deadlines and/or work demands -High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) – Required -Knowledge and understanding of CAD and BIM – Required -Excellent mathematical skills -Minimum 3+ years mechanical estimating or installation experience – Required -Excellent verbal and written communication skills, -Proficient knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Office software -Ability to learn and navigate ERP project management system -Ability to present the project to the customer and manage the project as appropriate -Excellent organizational and time management skills -Mechanical system knowledge should include heating, cooling, air distribution, building automation, refrigeration, and other mechanical systems – Required
