Maintains, repairs, and services commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment.

Tasks

-The Refrigeration Service Technician is responsible for the operations, repairs, replacement, and preventative maintenance of commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment. -Use different types of compressor oils. -Work with the Dispatch Team to ensure that the workload is accomplished in a complete and timely manner. -The individual must maintain safe work practices in support of the OSHA Health & Safety and NFPA 70e standards as it applies when performing the assigned duties.

What You Bring

-Ability to operate scissors and boom lifts -5 years of experience in maintaining similar type and size commercial equipment, along with a current Universal CFC certification -Technicians will be familiar with all refrigeration equipment and all refrigerants. -Ability to diagnose and repair refrigeration equipment to include: -Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). i.e., but not limited to, Dust mask, gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection. -Strong understanding of the refrigeration circuit -Knowledge and experience in the proper use and safe operation of hand tools, equipment, and testing devices necessary to perform all work assignments. -Defrost heaters. -Ability to perform leak checks (electronically and pressurized) -Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision in isolated areas. -Ability to stand, sit, or squat for extended periods of time. -Ability to solder, braze, and pipe fit. -CPC Processors -Strong oral and written communication required. -A company uniform will be issued, and a neat personal appearance will be required. -This position will require a background check and drug screening. -TXV/Orifice operations -Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at extended heights. -Valid Driver’s license and able to maintain a good driving record. -Working knowledge of desktop computers and Internet-based programs -Understand superheating and subcooling. -Understand reciprocating compressor operation. -Understand electrical circuits and processors. -High School Diploma or GED -Must have a working knowledge of rack systems, walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, reach-in coolers and freezers, and basic HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, exhaust fans, make-up air units and associated electrical equipment. -Ability to lift, move, and carry material up to 50 lbs. -CPR’s EPR’s and head pressure control valves (ORI, OROA, LAC)
