Tasks

-Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and change orders. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Supervise and mentor mechanical crews, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. -Plan, schedule, and coordinate all mechanical activities on assigned projects. -Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing any concerns and providing regular project updates. -Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, adhering to all safety policies and procedures. -Mentor and help to grow fellow Kiewit staff through performance evaluations -Monitor and control project costs, ensuring efficient use of resources and materials, and approve monthly job cost updates. -Identify and resolve any mechanical issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle. -Assist in schedule planning, determining craft labor levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements -Manage contract administration (subcontractor/field management) -Ensure all mechanical work meets project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

What You Bring

-Strong experience in Leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration. -Regular, reliable attendance -Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills. -Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements and jurisdictional issues, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documents. -5+ years of construction experience with 3+ years in a Superintendent/leadership capacity. -Ability to identify and resolve any problems that may arise. -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -Ability to access all areas on a construction project site. -Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding Kiewit’s policies, procedures and software programs. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Associated or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
