The Role

Overview

Lead tax strategy, compliance and advisory for diverse business units including M&A

Tasks

-Partner with the business to integrate tax considerations into strategic decision-making processes. -Manage tax compliance (including filings, tax audits and transfer pricing). -Provide tax guidance and support for new business initiatives and expansion into new markets. -Collaborate with external advisors and consultants to leverage specialized expertise and optimize tax outcomes. -Provide leadership on tax implications for business transactions, including tenders, mergers, acquisitions, divestments and restructuring activities.

What You Bring

-Strong technical knowledge, including international tax principles and understanding of transfer pricing. -Familiarity and practical experience in key ASEAN countries’ taxation will be an advantage. -Degree or Postgraduate degree in Accountancy and/or related major. -Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex tax concepts to diverse stakeholders to support decision-making at all levels. -Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes. -At least 12 to 15 years of international tax and relevant tax experience, preferably in a multinational corporation or reputable professional services firm.
