Tasks

-Submittal Reviews: Manage and review all project submittals to ensure compliance with contract specifications. -Develop, implement, and enforce the Site-Specific Safety and Health Plan (SSHP). -Documentation: Maintain and organize all project QC documentation for final closeout and audit purposes. -Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between the USACE, project stakeholders, and subcontractors on quality-related issues. -Work closely with the project management team to ensure safety remains a top priority. -Training: Conduct quality-related training for site personnel and subcontractors as needed. -Ensure compliance with USACE safety standards, EM 385-1-1, OSHA regulations, and company policies. -USACE Coordination: Maintain consistent communication with USACE representatives and respond to any quality concerns. -Maintain and submit all required safety documentation to the USACE and project stakeholders. -Daily Reports: Prepare and submit daily QC reports, documenting project activities, testing, and inspections. -Preparatory Meetings: Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for all construction activities. -Schedule Adherence: Monitor progress to ensure quality milestones are achieved without delays. -Quality Management System: Develop, implement, and maintain a compliant Quality Control Plan (QCP) in accordance with USACE requirements. -Investigate accidents and near misses, providing detailed reports and recommendations. -Testing Oversight: Coordinate and ensure proper execution of all required tests (e.g., soil compaction, concrete strength). -Conduct daily safety inspections, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions. -Deficiency Management: Identify, track, and resolve non-conformances or deficiencies promptly. -Safety Compliance: Work closely with the site safety officer to ensure compliance with safety standards. -Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for on-site personnel.

What You Bring

-OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification (preferred). -Ability to maintain meticulous safety records and reports. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience, preferably with USACE or federal projects. -Current certifications in CPR/First Aid and AED training. -Thorough knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and OSHA standards. -Familiarity with USACE specifications and RMS/QCS software. -USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractor's certification (mandatory). -Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Course (or higher). -Proficient in quality management software and tools. -Proven leadership skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
