-Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in subcontract management and drive the implementation of best practices. -Subcontractor Selection: Identify and evaluate potential subcontractors, conduct pre-qualification assessments, and participate in the selection process to ensure that subcontractors meet project requirements and quality standards. -Cost Control: Work closely with the project management team to track and control subcontractor costs, ensuring projects are delivered within budget. -Contract Negotiation: Negotiate subcontract agreements, including terms, conditions, scope of work, and pricing, while ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices. -Vendor Performance: Monitor subcontractor performance, schedule adherence, and quality of work. Take corrective actions when necessary to ensure project goals are met. -Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with subcontractors, including safety, financial, and legal risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies and maintain risk registers. -Compliance: Ensure that subcontractors adhere to all safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies. -Contract Administration: Oversee the administration of subcontract agreements throughout the project lifecycle, managing change orders, claims, and dispute resolution. -Relationship Management: Foster strong working relationships with subcontractors to promote collaboration and enhance project outcomes. -Reporting: Prepare regular reports on subcontracting activities, cost performance, and risk assessments for project stakeholders and senior management.
-8 years of experience in subcontracting administration or management in the industrial construction or energy industry. -Excellent negotiation and communication skills. -Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite. -Knowledge of safety and quality regulations relevant to the energy industry. -Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. -Experience with ERP systems and procurement software required e.g., SAP, JDE, Oracle. ViewPoint and pVault preferred. -Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and subcontractor management. -Strong leadership and team management capabilities. -Bachelor's degree in construction management, business, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus. -Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
