The Study Manager (Front End) is the leader of the multi-disciplinary Conceptual/ feasibility / Pre-FEED studies and is the main contact on technical and commercial matters and actions related to the study. The Study Manager is responsible for managing the safe and efficient execution of assigned projects or studies, and supports and leads proposals as required. The Study Manager also ensures compliance with project/study contractual obligations, meeting Client and Company safety, quality and technical requirements within the established budget and schedule constraints.

  • Supports promoting the team both internally and externally
  • Supports cost and schedule estimates for decision support packages
  • Provide leadership and Line Reporting to a team of Consultants and Engineers, ensuring strong engagement and motivation of the team, focused on results
  • Communicates project deliverables and recommendations are written and oral presentations and technical reports
  • Identification of future opportunities with the current client; Build Client relationships and improve Clients’ understanding of drivers and challenges
  • Responsible for proposal preparation and delivery
  • Support Head of Country with Business Development campaigns to grow and diversify our market footprint and Client base, Awareness of competitor’s capabilities
  • Collaborates closely with P&C teams and Local Resource Planners to ensure a proactive approach to the development and retention of talent within their team
  • Working with the operational teams (consultants, engineers, and drafter/designer), responsible for ensuring agreed project Gross Profit targets are met on assigned projects/studies
  • Liaise with Local Resource Planner and/or cost controller for forecast updates regarding ongoing projects; Responsible for project monthly reporting
  • Responsible for the Project profitability executed as per the proposal
  • Deliver projects in compliance with internal and/or Client processes; accountable for the quality of the service, assessed by Client feedback forms.
  • Collaborates closely with Delivery Manager & Local Resource Planner on mobilization and demobilization requirements to maximize utilization
  • Global collaboration to ensure continuous improvement and simplification of processes and tools, with a focus on digitalization
  • Responsible for successful study/project execution and management of change; Responsible for ensuring purchase orders and variation orders are in place to cover all work completed for the Client

We are seeking a seasoned Process Engineer and leader to relocate to Kuala Lumpur to provide technical and business leadership to the local team. The role would focus on Front-end engineering studies for the energy industry. This would be on a Local+ package that will include a tax free salary, international schooling support and relocation.

  • Good understanding of various types of offshore fixed and floating production Units
  • Good communication and organization skills and working knowledge of Microsoft applications are essential.
  • Experience in early engagement / feasibility / conceptual studies in the energy industry
  • Bachelor of Science with a Degree in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering with extensive experience working on Front-end engineering studies for the energy industry
  • Experience in CCUS, Green & Blue Hydrogen / Ammonia projects or studies
  • Will work in a multidisciplinary study/project environment where communication with other discipline engineers and organizational management is key to success
  • Experience in facilitating concept identification and selection workshops as part of the feasibility studies.
