Tasks

-Operating company coordination and issues resolution. -Stay abreast of AMI technologies. -Completion of cost estimates. -Provides training and guidance to other employees and those supported by Consumer Technologies -Lead and coordinates work activities of others within the work group, department or other corporate entity as necessary to complete routine and project activities. Including interaction with AMI system and Meter vendors, Operating Companies, peer groups such as Dolan and Canton Labs, Telecom, and IT. -Meter regression testing of AMI firmware revisions. -Performs routine engineering activity with minimum direction from higher level employees. -Development of AMI test cases and coordination of test case planning and execution. -Follows policies, practices, standards and rules of the company and those regulation and procedures required by external agencies.

What You Bring

-Demonstrates the ability to analyze and recommend enhancements to business processes. -Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET), plus a Professional Engineers (PE) license in any state of the U.S. OR -Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program. -Exhibits the ability to understand interrelationships between systems, components, devices and processes. -Must have an understanding of National Electric Code. -Demonstrates competency in analytical techniques necessary to handle assignments of moderate complexity. [e.g. divide a problem into steps and perform the analysis necessary to complete each step. -Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. -Possess basic level knowledge plus demonstrate proficiency in the application of “theory to solution” of well-defined problems or to analyze without guidance. -Must have familiarization with Micro Station or related GIS software such as Auto Cad.
