The Role

Overview

Lead 2nd shift production team, assign tasks, ensure safety and quality in barge manufacturing.

Tasks

-Involvement in safety committees. -Inspect and implement the quality program within the production shop. -Lead a team of production employees by assigning tasks. -Read, Interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately machine parts. -Follow all safety rules and practices. -Train production shop employees. -Assist in the completion of all tasks to meet deadlines. -Implement continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

-Ability to read blueprints. -May require working in narrow or confined work spaces for extended periods of time. -May require extensive kneeling, bending, walking, and/or standing for long periods of time. -3+ years experience preferred in a Leadership role. -Experience scheduling work in a production environment. -Must be able to climb ladders or stairs to reach objects; comfortable with heights. -May require working above ground (15 feet or more).
