Overview

Perform cleaning, laundry, and maintenance tasks in senior living community.

Tasks

-Collecting and laundering soiled linens in accordance with policies & regulations designed to protect the health and hygiene of our residents and team members. -Reporting supply and equipment needs to Supervisor and restock/replenish supplies as needed. -Ensuring effective communication is being utilized by community staff with the residents’ families concerning residents’ care, encompassing their physical, personal, and emotional wellbeing. -Folding, sorting, and distributing clean laundry. -Working in coordination with maintenance - reporting any necessary repairs noticed during the workday. -Performing cleaning duties to a schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) in assigned areas such as resident apartments, common areas, restrooms, and offices throughout the community. -Performing thorough cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, trash removal.

What You Bring

-Previous housekeeping experience preferred. -CPR or BLS certificate preferred. -Be able to demonstrate proficiency in Internet browsers (e.g., Explorer, Chrome, and Fire Fox), Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word and Publisher, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and any HR related systems if applicable. -Working well with others and taking direction from management, as well as taking initiative with the capability to engage in conflict intervention and resolution for residents, families, employees, and others as needed. -Cedarhurst of Edison Lakes considers the health and safety of its residents, family members, and team members as its highest priorities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand/move, communicate, and identify written information. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently; occasionally lift and/or move up to 200 pounds with assistance. -High School diploma or equivalent
