The Role

Assist Resident Engineer overseeing marine construction, ensuring compliance, quality, and schedule control.

Tasks

-Ensure compliance with local and international maritime regulations and standards -Prepare detailed technical reports, progress updates, and quality control documentation -Participate in project meetings and provide technical input to support decision-making processes -Review and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and contractor submittals -Implement and oversee quality control measures throughout the construction process -Assist in the preparation of contract variations and claims assessments -Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising marine construction projects, including dredging, land reclamation, and coastal protection works -Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations -Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project milestones are met -Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to maintain efficiency

What You Bring

-Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field -Willingness to work on-site in challenging marine environments -Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred -Thorough understanding of maritime regulations and standards -Proven experience in supervising marine construction projects -Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently -Advanced problem-solving skills and analytical thinking -Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment -Strong technical report writing abilities -Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles and coastal engineering concepts -Minimum 12 years of experience in marine engineering or a related field
