Assistant Corporate Controller

Description

• Maintain internal control safeguards over company assets and operating environment.
• Review and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and reporting requirements as a leader of the corporate operational accounting team.
• Develop, maintain, and evolve documentation of processes and procedures to produce consistent reporting of financial results of multiple business units and facilitate efficient integration of multiple acquisitions each year.
• Oversee and drive monthly financial close with the corporate accounting team
• Deliver monthly/quarterly/annual reporting requirements to internal and external parties on a timely basis, assuring accuracy.
• Oversee and support the accounting team with dynamic “hands on” leadership that creates an environment of trust, teamwork, productivity, and consistency.
• Understand and maintain ERP system operations, identifying and correcting system issues as necessary to maintain integrity of financial information.
• Support the annual audit of the Company.

The Assistant Corporate Controller will partner closely with the Corporate Controller and other Finance leaders to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and deliver valuable performance insights that drive operational excellence and continuous improvement. This role is well-suited for someone who embraces change and is passionate about enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within a dynamic organization.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements
• Advanced skills in MS Excel, Sage-Intaact (required), Floqast, and related accounting business systems
• Track record of developing and reporting on financial results across multiple subsidiaries with intercompany eliminations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
• Exemplary track record of managing and evolving accounting teams.
• 8+ Years previous accounting experience required with previous Assist. Controller/Accounting Manager experience. Public accounting experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting.
• Superb organizational and time-management abilities
• Proven track record of building accounting processes and procedures and maintaining strong internal control environment in a rapidly growing organization.
• Professional accounting certification – CPA or CMA.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial activity to improvement opportunities.
