The Role
Overview
Assist in traffic analysis, design, and engineering for roadway projects in the mid‑Atlantic.

Tasks
-This individual will primarily perform analysis and design activities on traffic projects but may be required to assist other departments as needed. Projects will primarily be located in the mid-Atlantic region but may also include occasional assignments for projects outside of the region. The successful candidate will work closely with his/her supervisor and more experienced project managers, engineers and designers.

What You Bring
-Experience with HCS, VISSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic and Sidra software desired. -Engineer in Training (EIT) strongly desired. -Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation strongly desired. -Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously both independently and as an integral part of a design team. -Experience with Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) considered a plus. -Bachelor’s of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering or related field required, focus in Traffic preferred -0 to three (3) years’ experience in transportation and/or traffic analysis, engineering and design to include maintenance of traffic, signing, markings and signals; previous internship or co-op preferred. -Experience with travel demand model software such as Cube considered a plus. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Innovative, strong work ethic and desire to learn and grow professionally.
