The Role

Overview

Facilities caretaker ensuring safety, security, and cleanliness at West Yorkshire bus stations.

Tasks

-Respond to incidents, situations, problems as soon as possible. -Be pro-active with your approach to ensure expected standards of the Combined Authority bus stations and their staff are met. -Move on any buskers or beggars & Rough sleepers. -Ensure all client queries and complaints are dealt with in a timely and effective manner and that the -Responsible for your uniform and to ensure it is always clean and in good condition. -Changing of bins on site & removal of rubbish -Prevent any acts that may cause offence or distress to patrons and monitors the health and safety of these areas. -Build positive relationships with the client and stakeholders of the Combined Authority. -Removal of graffiti as required -Be able to work with all partner Service providers to present a unified team. -Routine patrols across client portfolio -Provision of local transport information to station users. -Prevent cyclists from riding or chaining their bicycles within the premises

What You Bring

-Must have a pro-active attitude in everything you do – solve the problem before it is raised. -Exceptional customer service skills including the ability to assist all visitors in a helpful, courteous and confident manner. -Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points (regular driver licence checks carried out) -Excellent communication skills. -Above 21 years of age for insurance purposes with 2 years driving experience. -Appreciation of the need for safe working practices with the ability to implement company policy and procedure and ensure it is adhered to at all times. -Smart and courteous at all times. -Personal presentation to a high standard at all times. -Good communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and logically face to face. -Strong awareness of security procedures. -Security or cleaning experience preferred, training will be provided. -First aid
