Assisting the commercial manager in educating the project team in the specific requirements of the NEC conditions of contract.
Provide contractual advice to the commercial, construction and engineering departments.
Assist the Project Manager in the management of the early warning process including raising and issuing EWNs
Manage the allocated projects main design contract ensuring assistance is provided to the design team on cost information during the development of the design
Report to the commercial manager on contractual aspects of the project
Preparation of contractual correspondence and responding to communications from the project manager
General project cost control tasks including advising the project team on forecast allowances for packages
Manage and co-ordinate the change management process under the subcontracts including drafting of contractors instructions / reviewing NCEs and quotations for compensation events
Manage and assess the monthly payment process for the aforementioned subcontracts in accordance with the contractual timescales
Preparing monthly cost and value reports for their allocated project and responsibility to present to the senior management team
Costing of value engineering proposals and assisting in the assessment of changes to the accepted programme
Management of quantity surveying and assistant Quantity surveyors during the construction stage of their allocated project
Assist in the management of main contract change management including the assistance in preparation of documentation to support entitlement / preparing quotations and obtaining cost information
Ensure compliance with the contractual requirements of the projects
Contract management / administration of all subcontracts on their allocated project including NEC3 or 4 Options A/B/C/E Subcontracts, and design contracts (NEC3 or 4 PSC Contract Option A/C/E) ensuring compliance with the contract and Dragados management systems.
Oversee the projects procurement for general items such as plant / materials and equipment
Assist the Procurement Manager in commercial and financial aspects for subcontract procurement.

Good understanding of EU and UK legislative requirements affecting procurement.
Holds a CSCS Card
Ideally Member or Associate Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or working towards (but not essential)
Experience working with for a Main Contractor on large Civil Engineering / infrastructure projects.
High degree of commercial awareness.
Educated to degree level or equivalent in a numerate or commercial discipline
Able to work as part of a team.
The role will require the post holder to have excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal and to be able to report at management level.
Experience of working NEC 3 or 4 contract, and administering NEC 3 or Subcontract (Option A / B / C / E)
