The Role
Overview
Civil CAD Designer creates construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D for infrastructure projects.

Tasks
-Work on multiple projects at the same time to successful completion -Prepare dimensional drawings, create, and modify base drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D -Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to set up and manage construction drawings -Prepare project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output -Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes

What You Bring
-Associate degree in CAD drafting; or a related field from a technical trade school or training through a certified Autodesk Training Program in Civil 3D -AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required -Prior experience using A/E/C cad standards -Previous work experience in consulting and/or DoD/government contracting -Familiarity with GIS -Familiar with civil construction, civil engineering standards, and materials -Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures -At least one (1) year of experience with stormwater, sanitary sewer, and water main design -Experience in civil/site drafting and design for site development and roadways -A valid driver’s license, and ability to travel to client offices and project sites when required (local and interstate travel required) -Proficient in advanced Autocad functions, including Sheet Set Manager, Xref Manager, Tool Palettes, and Design Center preferred -Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat or similar software -At least one (1) year of prior experience in consulting and/or DoD/government contracting -A minimum of five (5) years of related CAD and drafting work experience -Must be able to pass a background screen -Must be a U.S. Citizen -Able to generate precise layout drawings from sketches and specifications -Proficient with design parameters related to ADA design
