The Role
Overview
Lead design and delivery of ports & marine projects, managing teams, clients, budgets

Tasks
-Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of various engineering disciplines in port and marine projects -Use computer software as a tool for solving basic and complex engineering problems -Manage engineering design as the supervisor -Review designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings -Conducts risk assessments and develops mitigation strategies for complex marine engineering projects -Collects and analyzes data -Mentors and develops junior project managers and team members to enhance overall team capabilities -Develops and implements project management methodologies and best practices across the team -Provides project and technical task management for one or more simultaneous projects -Manages one or more complex projects involving a full spectrum of engineering services offered by AECOM -Identifies problems, determines accuracy and relevance of information, uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and makes recommendations -Participates in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations for new marine engineering opportunities -Oversees the preparation and submission of regulatory permits and environmental impact assessments for marine projects -Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule

What You Bring
-BS in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Maritime Engineering with 10years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -Professional Engineer License with the ability to attain reciprocity in Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, or Pennsylvania within 6 months of hire -Previous experience in leading projects meeting required quality, timeliness, and budget parameters -Good presentation and communication skills in English -Good report and proposal writing skills -Experience with ArcGIS -Project Management experience in marine terminal related infrastructure -Experienced in planning, design, and construction management -Experience with computer aided design (AutoCAD) -Client Relationships: Ability to assist in developing new client relationships and to strengthen existing client relationships. Ability to identify, understand and focus on clients' key requirements -Due to the projects associated with the position a US Citizenship is required -Team leadership: good team leadership skills. Self-starter, energetic, pro-active -Previous experience with Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) planning and design -Previous experience in maintaining client relationships
