Tasks
-Recommend, develop, or perform preventive or general maintenance procedures, such as cleaning, tightening terminals, or vacuuming control panels -Compile job documentation, such as certificate of completion, customer training forms, training certificates and punch lists. -Document operational activities. -Ensure the proper installation of components. -Diagnose, test, or analyze the performance of system components, assemblies, or systems. -Suggest new ways of doing or thinking about tasks to improve efficiency and/or quality of work. -Troubleshoots and resolves malfunctions and makes recommendations that will improve efficiency or quality of operations. -Inspect systems to determine if they are operating properly. -Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions. -Reviews plans, specifications, and design to understand project scope. -Complete customer service and expense reports. -Help individuals understand how to effectively implement ideas. -Set up and operate standard or specialized testing equipment. -Record and report time, materials, faults, deficiencies, or other unusual occurrences on work orders. -Test components for proper functioning. -Create images for various wirings, designs, or system dashboards. -Provide sketches for changes in field design as directed. -Discuss heating or cooling system malfunction with user to isolate problems or to verify that repairs correct malfunctions. -Adjust equipment or system controls to ensure best performance. -Advise others on issues related to repairs, installation, or equipment design. -Instruct individuals on how to operate tools and equipment properly and efficiently. -Present designs and reports to customers or design committees for approval and discuss need for modification. -Mentor other team members through the workday to aid with any needed tasks. -Design images/maps of controlled systems within a building. -Ensure sensor location and functionality. -Adjust system controls to settings that meet GEM standards.

What You Bring
-Good knowledge of optimization and energy management strategy for BAS system. -Strong ability to adhere and to properly execute processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance. -Must be able and willing to work shifts, be available for on-call/standby and emergency call-outs as they arise. Extended hours may be required. -Familiar with integration concepts and platforms such as BACnet systems. -Strong client-service orientation along with a high sense of urgency. -Possesses a strong environmental, health and safety mindset. Ability to perform work in a safe manner. -Experience with computers, computer networks and internet protocols -Must be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment. -Good understanding of HVAC systems/controls, and functions of building automation systems. -Proven attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team. -Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications. -Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred. -Some knowledge of fire, life, safety and building codes and standards and ability to research and apply related codes and standards. -Effective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification. -5-10 years of proven work experience in design, implementation, and installation of building controls systems -Excellent oral and written communication skills. -Distech 6001 Certification (not necessary but beneficial) -Thorough understanding of control theory and control concepts. -Possesses strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. -Tridium Niagara 4 Certification -Must be able to multi-task efficiently.
