Lead geologist for site investigation and remediation consulting in Pacific NW

Tasks
-Perform complex technical tasks under oversight of more experienced technical reviewers/directors as appropriate. -Help solve problems and document solutions, express ideas through strong technical writing and verbal communication, and support technical reports, plans, and calculations in a consulting environment. -You prioritize safety and plan ahead so that work on your projects can be performed with minimal risk. -Support litigation projects through cleanup cost evaluation and preparing materials for mediation and expert testimony. -Provide guidance on green and sustainable remediation techniques for a variety of clients who would like to minimize their carbon footprint. -Be a member or leader of teams providing environmental consulting services to commercial and government clients. -Work on a variety of multi-disciplinary projects, with substantial emphasis on soil, soil vapor/gas, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and stormwater investigations and remediation systems; chemical fate and transport assessment; hazardous waste management; permitting; and site planning. -Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to

What You Bring
-Professional registration in Oregon or Washington (preferably both) if a Geologist/Hydrogeologist -Possess knowledge and technical skills in Federal, Oregon and Washington regulations. -Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills -You are a team player that can lead a project or support a project led by others. -Proficiency with MS Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook, in particular -Ability to work in industrial and field environments as well as in the office -B.S. or higher in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related discipline -7 or more years post-education environmental consulting experience -Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek -Master’s Degree is preferred. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -You communicate clearly to ensure everyone is on the same page, whether it be colleagues, regulators, or clients. -Consistent and highly accurate project work -40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120) preferred. -Comfortable working within both small and large project teams to achieve objectives -You are a self-starter who can manage technically complex projects with little or no direct oversight. -You are a strong client manager with the ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships with customers and grow WSP’s portfolio where possible. -Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies -Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired. -You are a strong financial project manager that meets profitability metrics and minimizes WIP and aged AR.
