Tasks

-Provide technical support and best practices to users of the GIS application. -Assist in establishing and documenting data management processes related to the GIS application, including how data is stored, accessed, and managed. -Oversee NGET’s Geographic Information System (GIS) to ensure its integrity with the latest internal and external data. -Support NGET’s Great Grid Upgrade projects by providing access to necessary mapping and data resources. -Assist in analysing system data issues and defining and implementing corrective actions. -Deliver geospatial analysis and support the business in obtaining required information. -Define, implement, and assist in managing strategies, policies, procedures, and specifications for the production, retention, and management of technical data records, including both visual (imagery and mapping) and numeric data, to ensure compliance with relevant statutory obligations and business requirements.

What You Bring

-Proven experience in building strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. -Knowledge of data management and quality checking techniques. -Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. -Strong knowledge and understanding of ArcGIS Pro or similar GIS applications. -Basic understanding of assets across NGET and how asset data can be leveraged within the business. -Understanding of Ordnance Survey products and their applications. -Familiarity with Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) for data transformation and flow. -Proficient in data modelling techniques and data management practices.
