Assist in preparing cost estimates and supporting sales bids for construction projects

Tasks

-Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors. -Document all quantity surveying activities and audit them for accuracy. -Support the sales team in preparing bid proposals and presentations. -Use software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. -Occasional travel to project sites may be required. -Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on estimates. -Assist in preparing preliminary estimates and cost summaries for project feasibility analysis. -Assist in the preparation of cost reports and tracking changes to designs, plans, and construction timelines that may affect project costs. -Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, etc. -Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

-Strong analytical and mathematical skills. -Familiarity with financial and project management principles. -Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team. -Ability to sit for extended periods. -Ability to use a computer and other office equipment. -Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite. -Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field. -Proven experience as an estimator or in a similar role is preferred.
