Tasks

-Oversight, QA/QC, and mentoring of junior staff -Coordinate and lead multi-disciplinary teams in South and Central Florida. -Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work -Prepare technical deliverables and assure QA/QC with support from the team -Assist with client and project development – track opportunities, identify client needs, assist with proposals and marketing materials where needed -Manage and participate in environmental sampling programs, including collecting, identifying, and compiling environmental data from samples of water, sludge, and other matrices for projects, investigations, and surveys. -Develop and maintain relationships with key client project managers -Market and develop new work to support the continued growth of the practice area -Lead project teams, ensuring that project deliverables are met, and ensuring schedule and budget expectations are adhered to -Travel to project(s) as needed for the execution of project goals -Participate with leadership in developing strategic plan for Florida -Support proposal preparation work and technical work scope development -Plan, schedule, and coordinate staffing levels needed for projects -Assist with verifying the characteristics of a site, providing technical assistance on various environmental issues, water cycles, and flow to determine the influence of weather and other environmental forces.

-Expertise and knowledge of the local (Florida) water resource market -Engineer in Training Certification -Expertise with Florida water quality regulations -Proven track record marketing and developing new work -Project management experience with small to mid-level projects including tracking hours and expenses for project work. -10+ years relevant experience -Proven track record of leading and preparing written technical documents such as studies involving use of the scientific method; surface water quality management plans with pollutant loading assessments and project alternatives; conceptual project plans and design deliverables with cost estimates and discussion; feasibility studies involving practical analysis of project alternatives; and technical memoranda which may involve a wide range of subject matter related to water quality. -Ability to work with, mentor, and direct engineers, scientists and technicians -Developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to apply technical knowledge to reach conclusions from testing results, data collation, statistical analysis and arriving at the most effective, economical, and logical solution. -Demonstrated experience selling, managing, performing and consulting on projects and programs including a wide range of project sizes -B.S. in Environmental Science/Engineering, Biology, Hydrology, or related field required -Exhibit ability to successfully track and meet budgets and schedules -Excellent verbal and written communication skills
