Tasks

-Provide technical support for testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of protection systems. -Ensure compliance with international and regional standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, SASO, SEC). -Carry out protection settings calculation and issuance for transmission and distribution systems, including substations, transformers, and feeders. -Conduct comprehensive network studies to ensure protection coordination, system stability, and reliability. -Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure proper system integration and coordination. -Prepare detailed technical reports, analysis documentation, and calculation records following project and company standards. -Participate in design reviews, FAT, and SAT for protection and control systems. -Execute simulation and modeling using industry-standard software tools such as CAPE, ASPEN, ETAP, and DIgSILENT PowerFactory. -Review and approve vendor and contractor technical documentation and protection settings files. -Perform detailed fault analysis and evaluate power system performance during abnormal and fault conditions. -Review and verify protection schemes, logic diagrams, and configuration settings.

What You Bring

We are currently seeking qualified and experienced Protection Engineers to support the department’s roles and responsibilities in power system protection.The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the related protection engineering field or 10 years of experience in related fields (such as commissioning, maintenance, or network operations), with strong expertise and technical knowledge in protection system studies and analysis. -Familiarity with major relay manufacturers (Siemens, ABB, SEL, Schneider, GE). -Strong analytical skills for fault analysis, protection coordination, and settings review. -Ability to apply protection standards and guidelines effectively to ensure safe and reliable operation. -Minimum 5 years of experience in protection engineering or 10 years in related fields (commissioning, maintenance, or system operations). -Strong experience with protection settings calculation, short circuit studies, and network analysis. -Proficient in interpreting single-line diagrams, logic diagrams, and coordination curves. -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Systems, High Voltage, or Electrical Machines. -Solid understanding of protection schemes, relay coordination, and system behavior under fault conditions. -Sound knowledge of relay protection, system studies, and transient analysis. -Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. -Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools such as CAPE, ASPEN, ETAP, and DIgSILENT PowerFactory. -Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and within a team. -Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required. -In-depth knowledge of relevant standards including IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEC, SASO, SEC. -Competence in using testing and commissioning equipment for protection systems.
