Overview

Assist physicians with clinical tasks and admin duties in an OBGYN & Urology office.

Tasks

-Perform selected patient and laboratory testing consistent with the scope of practice, including Point of Care Testing, tuberculosis skin testing, electrocardiography, pulmonary function tests, and vision and hearing testing. -Complete requisitions for tests and contact insurance companies for pre-authorizations for patient medications and specialty referrals. -Provide telephone screening services to gather information from patients, determine appropriate disposition, and document per established protocols. -Utilize the EMR to propose patient medication refills for provider approval.

What You Bring

-6 months experience working in an ambulatory care medical office or equivalent experience required. -Customer service skills -RMA certification -Healthcare experience -Blood pressure measurement -Prior experience as a medical assistant preferred. -Experience in medical assisting and phlebotomy. -High School Diploma or GED -Epic proficiency
