Overview
Operates directional drill for underground conduit installation and related tasks.

Tasks
-Continue communication with the locator to confirm the location of the drill head. -Maintain, clean, and inspect company vehicles and equipment assigned for use to ensure they are performing at optimum safety. -Conduct post-job quality checks. -Assist in potholing and remediation. -Confirms with locator or leads the bore path to drill. -Complies with safety procedures while driving and at the job site. -Drilling of the predetermined path to the exit point. -If appropriately licensed and authorized, drive or operate construction equipment used on the Jobsite to complete daily work assignments. -Assist with the installation of proper pulling gear and hook-up product. -Set up of equipment including the drill, water tanks, and grounding of the machine. -Operate drilling equipment and various other construction equipment. -Perform required pre-and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment and complete required paperwork -Assist with setting hand holes and completing tie-ins.

What You Bring
-Ability to understand and follow all quality/safety policies and procedures. -Individuals will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening. -Ability to travel for remote business requirements within Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Indiana. -Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A) with a satisfactory driving record. -Ability to manage time effectively. -Experience completing tie-ins. -Must have reliable transportation to and from work. -Must be at least 18 years of age. -Self-motivated, safe, quality, and production-minded. -Ability to drill predetermined path to exit point, -At least 1 year of directional drilling experience. -Ability to comply with the “Operator’s Manual” for equipment and vehicles used. -Knowledge of the telecommunications industry and construction practices. -Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. -OSHA 10 certification -Strong knowledge of underground utilities. -Ability to assist with hand holes -Experience pulling gear and hooking up products. -Ability to conduct post-job quality checks. -Ability to work in adverse weather conditions – heat, cold snow, ice, rain, etc. -Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, moving your whole body, reaching, walking, stooping, and handling materials. -OSHA 30 certification -Ability to Pothole -Ability to lift at minimum 50 lbs. -Ability wot work and communicate as part of a team with groundsmen, and other craft and labor workers. -Ability to work long hours, if needed.
