The Role

Overview

Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic equipment in a fabrication plant.

Tasks

-Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs; document parts used, and work completed. -Perform routine and preventive maintenance on fabrication machinery, welding equipment, cranes, compressors, and other shop systems. -Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting and implementing equipment or process enhancements. -Maintain an organized and safe work area, ensuring compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations. -Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on various machines and facility equipment. -Perform building and grounds maintenance as needed, including lighting, plumbing, and minor structural repairs. -Conduct regular facility inspections to identify potential issues and safety hazards. -Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests. -Collaborate with production personnel to schedule repairs and minimize disruption to operations. -Assist in the installation and set up of new equipment and machinery.

What You Bring

-Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted. -Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. -Ability to enter confined spaces. -3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or fabrication environment. -Experience with welding and fabrication machinery is preferred. -Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. -Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and reporting. -Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required. -Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors. -Ability to walk on even and uneven surfaces. -Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. -Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment. -Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. -Ability to climb stairs, ladders and scaffolding. -Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and talk and hear. -High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance preferred.
