-Assist with the design and layout of roadway alignments, both horizontal and vertical, for real-world transportation projects -Take on a variety of project support tasks, learning how transportation engineering projects come to life from concept to construction -Help develop construction plan sets, gaining experience in how projects are prepared for bidding and construction -Perform quantity calculations to support bid plan development and construction cost estimates -Explore additional areas like pavement analysis, design, and utility coordination for a well-rounded experience -Get involved in key aspects of roadway design, including geometry, drainage, signage, pavement markings, and maintenance of traffic
