The Role

Overview

Field sales rep driving HVAC aftermarket accounts, new business and order fulfillment.

Tasks

-Submits said orders by referring to inventory on hand, pricing and product literature for accuracy. -Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions. -Communicates with Store Branch Manager and/or Warehouse/Purchasing Manager regarding special orders. -Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor. -Executes all necessary processes to complete the sale for the customer, so the order can be picked/pulled for delivery. -Contributes to team effort by accomplishing sales related results as needed. -Provide support for the Store Branch Manager and/or Warehouse Manager as needed. -Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies. -Coordinates delivery logistics with Store Branch Manager and/or Warehouse/Purchasing Manager, if applicable. -Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors. -Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments. -Makes weekly cold calls to inactive and new customers.

What You Bring

-Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, customers, staff, vendors, etc. -At least three years of field sales experience, preferably in the HVAC industry. -High school diploma or general education degree (GED). -Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents in English. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers. -Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. -To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, etc. This role requires an intermediate level of knowledge of Microsoft Office.
