Tasks

-Safety Assurance (RAMS): Ensure the system strictly adheres to stringent RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) requirements essential for semi high-speed operations. -Strategic Direction: Define and own the overall signalling system strategy and architecture, typically utilizing modern standards like ETCS Level 2/3. -Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee compliance with all national and international safety standards and facilitate securing final statutory approvals (e.g., from ISA/CMRS). -Integration Management: Manage the complex system integration and interface coordination with key subsystems, especially Rolling Stock, Telecommunications, and the OCC. -Project Oversight: Manage the technical scope, schedule, budget, and risks for the signalling work package, providing strong team leadership and technical mentorship. -Technical Authority: Serve as the top technical expert, leading and approving all major design reviews, specifications, and technical solutions provided by contractors. -T&C Leadership: Lead and oversee the comprehensive Testing and Commissioning (T&C) phase to ensure flawless system performance before commercial service.

-Eligible Assignment -Must have Experience of one "Eligible assignment" as Chief Signalling Expert or equivalent position. -If assignment period is more than 2 years on a particular project, the number assignment will be considered as follows: Min. 4 years = 2 Assignments Min. 6 years = 3 Assignments -The period of Eligible Assignment at the position immediately below the proposed position in organization shall also be considered but its weightage for the period shall be 50%. (For example, 02 years will be considered as 01 year). -International Experience- Minimum 03 years’ experience on projects for Rail based Passenger Transit system with operational speed of 160 kmph or more in Country(s). -Graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent with working Knowledge of reading, writing and Speaking in English. -Minimum 20 Years post minimum qualification experience in S&T system in any Rail based Passenger Transit System. -Relevant Experience - 05 years’ experience for Design, procurement and Implementation, Testing & Commissioning of ETCS Level-2 Signalling System including interface with Telecom for Rail Based Passenger Transit System as Chief Signalling Expert or equivalent position. The period of relevant Experience at the position immediately below the proposed position in organization shall also be considered but its weightage for the period shall be 50%. (For example, 02 years will be considered as 01 year).
