The Role
Overview
Design and develop roadway/highway projects for public agencies.
Key Responsibilities

Tasks
-Perform quality control self-checks of assigned work -Support the development of cost estimates for projects -Conduct field inspections to gather relevant data and contribute to site assessments -Utilize design software and tools for drafting and modeling -Conduct analyses and perform standard computations, drawings, and visual aids for projects -Prepare preliminary design plans, documents, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers -Collaborate with the design team to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations -May coordinate work with entry-level engineers, technicians, or other staff

What You Bring
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint -Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field from an ABET accredited civil engineering program -Passed FE/EI exam -Strong understanding of design principles and standards -3+ years of relevant roadway design engineering experience -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Ability to work individually or as part of a team -Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
