Tasks

-Review sales sheets, purchase orders, plans, and specifications for accuracy in estimated quantities, pricing, and project requirements. -Complete all assigned work accurately, on time, and in compliance with building codes, ADA, UL, NFPA, and other industry standards. -Identify and communicate discrepancies, compliance concerns, or required clarifications with architects, general contractors, and internal stakeholders. -Collaborate with Sales, Estimating, and Project Management to ensure smooth transitions across project phases. -Detail and schedule openings, materials, and hardware to ensure compliance with contract documents, local codes, and customer expectations. -Update and resubmit submittals as needed; prepare projects for ordering in coordination with the Project Manager or Location Manager. -Create detailed elevations and sections as needed to support submittals. -Review schedules and submittals for accuracy and potential alternatives that may benefit the project. -Verify product costs, enter costs during the scheduling process, and compare to estimated costs to ensure budget alignment. -Prepare submittals, shop drawings, schedules, and supporting documentation using Comsense and company-issued software.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of door, frame, and hardware applications as they relate to UL, NFPA, IBC, ADA, life safety, and local building codes. -Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. -High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or coursework in drafting, construction management, or related field preferred. -Proficiency in blueprint reading and specification interpretation. -Effective verbal and written communication skills with positive interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners. -2–5 years of related experience in door, frame, hardware, or similar construction detailing required. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Comsense and related industry software preferred. -Experience with Comsense Enterprise or Advantage strongly preferred. -Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. -Detail-oriented, quality-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
