Tasks

-Design data models and integration patterns across Azure Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks, and SAP environments. -Define and implement enterprise data architecture strategies aligned with Watts Water’s digital transformation initiatives. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable data pipelines and ensure consistent usage of a unified data fabric. -Mentor junior data engineers and code/design review of team members data deliverables. -Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees. -Mentor data engineers and analysts on architecture and data management best practices. -Establish best practices for data modeling, lineage, and governance frameworks. -Partner with business stakeholders to translate analytical and reporting needs into robust architectural solutions. -Optimize data ingestion, storage, and retrieval performance across structured and unstructured datasets. -Guide the evaluation and adoption of modern technologies supporting AI/ML, advanced analytics, and real-time insights.

What You Bring

-Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods. -Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls. -Proven success leading large-scale data modernization or cloud migration initiatives. -Expert-level knowledge of Azure platform services, including Azure Fabric and related data tools. -Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers. -Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks. -Working knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks. -Familiarity with API-driven integrations and data virtualization concepts. Experience with Power BI, data cataloging, and analytics enablement. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. -Punctuality and dependability. -Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions. -Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods. -Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. -Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts. -Experience integrating SAP data (S/4HANA, or BW) with modern cloud data platforms. -Microsoft Azure architecture or other relevant certification in cloud data domain is a plus. -Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials. -Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment. -Strong problem-solving orientation and ability to navigate complex technical ecosystems. -Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing data solutions in Azure, Snowflake, and/or Databricks. -Deep understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling (Kimball/Inmon), Data quality, and metadata management. -15+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, data lakehouse architecture, streaming data architecture, and enterprise data solutions design.
