The Role

Overview

Second shift maintenance tech performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Tasks

-Completes preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. -Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. -Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. -Uses hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools. -Troubleshoots malfunctions and listening for problems. -Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance. -Maintains equipment, parts, and supply inventory. -Follows diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications. -Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. -Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. -Maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations -Uses precision measuring and testing instruments. -Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. -Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks. -Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges

What You Bring

-Capable of utilizing basic math skills -Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail -Capable of using scan guns and ERP software -Excellent time management skills -Prolonged periods of standing entire shift -Use of rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. -Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. -Hilo certified or able to become certified in operating lift equipment. -Must be able to bend and twist throughout entire shift. hearing and/or eye protection -Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery -Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process. -Knowledge of inventory systems -Must be able to clear drug screen and background check. -Associate degree or completion of qualified apprenticeship program -Must have reliable transportation. -Ability to perform repetitive tasks. -Minimum of 2 year of related work experience
