Accounts Receivable Specialist

Overview

Manages construction project billing, invoicing, and receivables.

Tasks

-Calculating billing amounts and mailing bills when needed. -Works with project managers and customers to resolve receivable issues. -Works with project managers to ensure billings are complete, accurate and on time. -Prepares payment requisitions for projects that require schedules of values and supporting schedules. -Processes invoice credits, as necessary. -Adjusting, moving and lifting objects in all directions: Occasionally -Maintains billing log and prepares retention billing at end of project. -Organizing and updating digital records -Updates and retains customer account information related to special billing conditions, tax status, invoice approval contact, billing addresses and special billing rates. -Moving about to accomplish tasks at a worksite or moving from one worksite to another: Occasionally -Records electronic or check deposits to company bank accounts. -Reminds customers about upcoming payments or past-due accounts and follows-up weekly to ensure that the payments are received on a timely basis. -Coordinates with Project Managers to establish billing timing and procedures/progress billings. -Updates accounts receivable database with new projects and necessary supporting documentation. -Creates reports for managers and provides records when requested. -Keeps accurate records of payments received from customers.
