Design Engineer

Overview

Lead mechanical design projects, performing analysis, CAD modeling, and cross-functional coordination.

Tasks

-Create and review CAD models and drawings using Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar tools. -Develop and execute test plans based on risk assessments and FMEA inputs. -Prepare technical reports, test documentation, and BOMs for MRP systems. -Present project updates to leadership and cross-functional teams. -Collaborate closely with finance, quality, and manufacturing engineering teams. -Conduct FMEA, THA, and root cause analysis using tools like fishbone diagrams and the 5 Whys. -Manage projects independently, including scheduling, budgeting, and cross-functional coordination. -Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis, FEA, and material selection. -Ensure compliance with internal specifications and stage-gate development processes. -Lead design projects, focusing on new product development and major ongoing improvements.

What You Bring

-Experience working with cutting-edge tools and methodologies in engineering. -Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. -10+ years of engineering experience, demonstrating the ability to work independently and lead projects. -Strong problem-solving and leadership skills. -Familiarity with stage-gate product development methodology. -Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, CAD modeling, and design validation techniques. -Excellent communication and presentation skills. -Experience with FEA, FMEA, THA, and root cause analysis tools. -Proven ability to manage projects end-to-end, from concept through production.
