Overview
Develops 5‑year business plans, forecasts, and regulatory financial support for utility operations.

Tasks
-Solve business problems and analyze business results. -Complies with all policies and standards. -Full responsibility to model all complexity levels of the five-year business plan and monthly forecast updates as it relates to balance sheet projections, income statement forecasts, and associated analyses. -Review completed PPL reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis including various budget vs. actual and forecast vs. actual reconciliations and analyses. -Prepare presentations and other materials provided to key stakeholders including executive management, the Board of Directors, rating agencies, and investment community. -Review and/or Prepare information used for regulatory filings including rate cases to provide testimony support, filing requirements and data responses. Provide support when designing ways to recover costs. -Assist with the quarterly analyst calls by accumulating responses to potential questions for Q&A and review/provide data for slides supporting management scripts. -Develop complex scenario models for potentially new initiatives with inputs through the full financial cycle from financing to spending to recovery mechanisms.

What You Bring
-Expert understanding in specific areas of responsibility such as plant, treasury, revenues, tax, etc. and special project work as requested. Full understanding of how to critically review capital investment papers and cost evaluation models. -Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, management, economics, marketing or related field. -Possess advanced knowledge of regulatory developments and key economic trends impacting the Company’s margins and financial results. -5+ years in a finance related field. -Advanced degrees including MBA, CPA or CGMA, as well as knowledge or experience in the energy/power industry. -Uphold good interpersonal skills for continuous interaction with all levels of management and administrative staff. -Possess enhanced relationships with Financial Planning customers, Budgeting peers and all other internal peer groups to promote timely and effective information sharing and understanding of shared focus areas. -Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and FERC Classification of accounts. -Advanced knowledge of UI Planner financial modeling system, including the ability to train junior employees on how to use the computer system to maintain relevant updates to system inputs that drive current and forecasted financial projections. Use or create standard reports when applicable or, if necessary, create ad hoc reports. Be able to provide system testing if needed.
