The Role
Overview
Manage EHS programs, training, compliance, and incident investigations at a manufacturing plant.

Tasks
-Coordinate operational First Aid training requirements and records. -Review safety related documents and narratives such as Safety Committee minutes, inspection reports, forklift inspection checklists, accident investigation reports, and near miss reports -Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 Facilitating training on other shifts occasionally required. -Oversee all yearly updates to the safety program, including the Safety Manual, Injury/Illness Prevention Plan, Emergency Procedures Manual, and the Emergency Contingency Plan -Follow incident management processes and conduct timely incident investigations and ensure timely reporting. -Review and update the EHS policies and procedures in accordance with Company policies and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines. -Ensure required EHS documentation is completed for all new processes, materials, and equipment including SOPs, JSA’s, and Lock-out/Tag-out -Coordinate Industrial Hygiene surveys as required (air, noise, ergonomics, ) -Maintain WHMIS and GHS requirements for hazard communication and keep MSDS current. -Ensure that all corrective actions and recommendations are completed and communicated within the expected timeframe. Examples include the following: incident investigation actions, audit findings, maturity assessments, and safety committee -Managing Change -Management representative for ISO 14001 / 9001 certifications -Builds trust with others by encouraging open dialogue and Seeks diverse perspectives to create stronger solutions. -Listens to understand the needs of customers (internal and external). Builds trusting relationships and seeks innovative solutions for all Always has the customer’s needs top of mind. -Keep records of all employee training, corrections of unsafe conditions, and dates and results of workplace Maintain and submit documentation as required. -Maintain all weekly, monthly, and yearly safety inspections -Resource expert on EHS regulatory requirements, corporate policies and procedures and the adoption into SOP’s and WI’s. -Create and execute employee training programs to reduce operational risks. -Maintain all hazardous material and hazardous material area checks -Develop and administer EHS training for all employees (if required, including outside sales personnel, office, ) -Oversee the EHS programs and initiate activities that will improve the level of personnel safety and health and environmental compliance.

What You Bring
-Experience with formal problem solving and root cause -Without a Bachelor’s degree, seven years’ EHS experience in a manufacturing environment is required. -Data analysis skills -Exposure to varying temperatures in manufacturing -Strong proficiency in MS Office, Benchmark operation a -Minimum of valid certification for Standard Intermediate First Aid -Significant time is spent on the production floor (60%). -Effective written and verbal communication -Able to keep on track despite difficulties or barriers that may be Addresses conflict to find common ground solutions. -Ability to function in a team environment, work well with others, handle multiple priorities and projects as necessary. -Understands individual strengths and opportunity areas and seeks development opportunities to leverage strengths and lean into opportunity areas. Open to both giving and receiving feedback. -Knowledge of OHSA regulations and federal/local EHS regulations. -Three years EHS experience in a manufacturing setting. -Retains a mindset of always striving to make things Applies continuous improvement tools and processes to every aspect of the role. -Bachelor’s degree required in environmental science, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, engineering or related field preferred.
