The Role

Overview

Design, analyze, and manage bridge and transportation projects, ensuring compliance and quality.

Tasks

-Collaborate with internal teams, clients, subconsultants and agencies to ensure seamless project delivery. -Develop design plans, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates for bridge and transportation structures. -Engage with dynamic groups such as the Community Impact and Fun Committees, Fisher Minds (ERG), and the Employee Advisory Group -Maintain detailed records of bridge design documents, reports, and budgets. -Support project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations. -Conduct field inspections and prepare detailed bridge inspection reports and analyze foundation design. -Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables. -Support bridge design engineering, including load rating, structural analysis, and foundation design. -Provide technical support during construction, respond to RFIs and attend site visits. -Ensure designs adhere to state and local standards, regulations and safety codes.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in MicroStation, STAAD and Bridge Design Software -Demonstrated high-quality work and ability to problem solve applying critical thinking, and sound judgment to challenges -B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, Master’s preferred -Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it -Familiarity with state DOT design standards (NYSDOT or PennDOT preferred) -Highly adaptable and proactive in meeting deliverables and deadlines -You thrive in a culture that celebrates fun and fosters a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere, so you can bring the best of yourself to work every day. -5-10 years of transportation experience, structures/bridge design engineering experience preferred
