Coordinate underground telecom construction, manage crews, permits, QA, reporting.

Tasks

-Promote and follow all safety procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company policies -Report weekly completion information and project updates to management -Work directly with customers and internal teams to provide updates and address site-related issues -Ensure all required paperwork, reports, and project documentation are completed accurately and submitted on time -Conduct field checks and quality control reviews to confirm work meets company and customer standards -Assist with coordination of permits, easements, and pole measurements with city, state, or local authorities -Maintain assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean and safe working condition -Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations -Coordinate and communicate with multiple crews and subcontractors to support daily underground construction activities -Perform site walkthroughs to verify locates, job readiness, and placement of fiber cables and equipment -Use Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other software to track and report project progress -Assist with planning and scheduling materials, equipment, and resources needed for assigned projects -Support inventory tracking, material handling, and equipment inspections

What You Bring

-Knowledge of both telecom aerial and underground construction a plus -CDL preferred -Vision Ability: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust and focus -Able to work while standing 75% to 90% of the time -Able to manipulate connectors, fasteners, wire and use hand tools -Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) -Experience in construction: utilities, telecom, or related field required -Ability to read CATV or related blueprints -Comfortable working near power lines, municipal services, and other communications cables -Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers, customers, and leadership -Willing and able to travel over the road at any time to accommodate job responsibilities -Willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as required by the workload -Basic understanding of underground construction processes such as trenching, boring, or fiber placement -Able to work and travel in inclement weather -Able to communicate with customers and employees in a clear and professional manner -Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving -Travel as needed, including occasional overnight stays, based on project requirements -Working knowledge of safety standards including OSHA, DOT, and NESC preferred -Ability to work with little to no supervision -Ability to read job prints, maps, and basic construction plans -Able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds -Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen) -Ability to use basic hand tools -Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
