Systems Programmer

Overview

Write, test, debug, and maintain code to support applications and systems at Marvin.

Tasks

-Apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills and knowledge of best practices to support system team -Maintain and assist with design of application related database tables -Design and maintain coding guidelines -Successfully lead projects through completion, either independently or within a team -Test code to be functional and match project scope requirements -Deliver project assignments on-time -Mentor new programmers to follow consistent coding guidelines -Utilize appropriate development tools and version control software for source code management -Provide excellent customer service to support in-house applications and assist with training -Write code, analyze and document programs across platforms in accordance with programming standards

What You Bring

-Willingness and ability to remain current on changes in the industry through continuing educational activities -3-5 years’ experience developing applications using Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, Python and T-SQL preferred along with experience using web technologies HTML, CSS, PHP and Wicket -Field-related 2-year degree required
