Tasks

-Ensure Data Integrity: Review and validate field data for accuracy and completeness before submission to project teams. Maintain accurate field notes and documentation -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Maintain Safety & Compliance: Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. -Coordinate with Project Teams: Communicate effectively with superintendents, field crews, engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and deliverables and help define how work plans will be executed in the field. -Operate Advanced Equipment: Use GPS, robotic total stations, 3D laser scanners, and data collectors to acquire high-precision measurements. Ability to use CAD proficiently for layouts, (AutoCAD, Civil3D or Microstation) to convert drawings into Trimble Business Center -Implement Project Survey plants, according to instruction. Lead Field Survey Operations: Manage daily activities of survey crews conducting boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction staking surveys.

What You Bring

-Strong understanding of construction staking, boundary analysis, and control networks, passion for the details, experience working with tight tolerances. Must have experience running instruments and willing to train others on the equipment. -Regular, reliable attendance -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -LSIT or PLS certification is a plus and if not, willing to get those certifications with Kiewit support -3+ years of field construction survey experience, peforming dimentional control, industrial measurements, preference of leading others conducting field surveys. Prefer experience with heavy civil highway, bridge construction, power plants, water, tunneling -Experience with CAD software( AutoCAD, or Civil 3D or Microstation ) and GIS platforms preferred. -Proficiency with Trimble Access/Business preferred, or other similar systems (Leica, or Topcon systems). -Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally -Interpret Plans & Legal Documents: Read and apply engineering drawings, plats, deeds, and construction documents to guide fieldwork. Able to work within tight tolerances vertically and horizontally. Set and maintain control network. -Must be willing to work 50-60 hours per week, along with weekends. (We do pay overtime) -Physical ability to lift equipment and perform manual tasks; Strong communication skills, and strong work ethic. Committed to safety and getting the work done right the first time. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Accustomed to Outdoor fieldwork in varied terrain and weather conditions
