Overview

Manage construction inspection, staff and delivery of water/wastewater utility projects.

Tasks

-Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for construction procedures and safe working conditions. -Provide guidance and oversight to construction inspectors and assist with job site inspections as needed. -Coordinate and track multiple project activities and plan staffing requirements for projects to ensure adequate coverage. -Coordinate and partner with contractors to schedule inspection activities and resolve field issues. -Facilitate and conduct regularly scheduled construction meetings. -Oversee validation of products and materials ordered for projects to verify their conformance to specifications. -Manage a construction project’s technical and cost efforts, including leadership of the project team and coordinating work to meet deadlines and budgets.

What You Bring

-Ability to multitask and manage projects with tight deadlines. -Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. -Understanding of bidding, estimating, and risk management of utility projects in water/wastewater. -Proficiency in reading and interpreting water/wastewater project drawings and specifications. -5+ years of experience in staff management/oversight, including hiring, project staffing, and performance evaluation. -Ability to travel to job sites across Indiana with a valid driver's license. -10+ years of construction management experience on water/wastewater utilities projects. -Experience using Procore. -Professional Engineer Certification is highly desired. -Experience working on Federally-funded infrastructure projects.
